Full Name: John De Rienzo

Company Name: De Rienzo Video Productions

Position: Owner

Why did you get into the wedding video business?

We wanted to find an avenue where we could express our creative side, and have always been fascinated with the art of filming and how to tell a story through the media. I was fortunate enough to learn most of my trade through studio work, and filming show reels for presenters.
De Rienzo Video Productions is a family business, run by John and Tony De Rienzo, and began with a passion to bring wedding films to the next level, combining TV production values with creative editing.

Why should couples choose De Rienzo video productions?

John De Rienzo is a qualified member of the IOV (Institute Of Professional Videographers)
Being part of a professional organisation and passing the assessment criteria shows our continued passion in this industry, and we believe this to be first priority on any couples list when looking for a suitable videographer.
Our testimonials from previous clients speak volumes with words such as 'Stunning & Amazing, we did not believe wedding films could look so good!'
We use the latest high definition cameras from Sony alongside audio equipment, including wireless mics, solid state recorders, on board directional mics to pick up the vows and speeches.

Wedding TV
We have been feautured on Wedding TV and our couples have been feautured in documentaries such as 'Happy Ever After' with our work being praised by directors and producers from this Sky Channel.
We are a friendly business and always listen to our customers needs so that we can make them a wedding film that is as unique as the couple themselves.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Our inspiration comes from many sources, including films, trailers, documentaries etc, picking up on proven filming tecniques and combine them into our own wedding films adding our own creative flair to them, and not least my wife Rachel De Rienzo who has been the backbone of this business.

How do De Rienzo Video productions define a great wedding video?

A great wedding video is one that reflects on the days events professionally, captures the emotions, grabs the viewer's attention, and keeps them hooked until the end. How the videographer goes about creating this is the difference between a good wedding video, and a great one.

What's a 'no no' for modern day wedding videos?

Shaky camera work is definitely a no no! Poor composition and sound is also a no no!

Trivia:

Best holiday?
St Lucia, Our honeymoon destination.

Married?
Yes, to my beautiful wife Rachel who has been my inspiration.

Most embarrassing moment?
My most embarrassing moment must be when i was asked to move a car for a friend who was too busy in his shop. I totally trusted him, took his keys and went outside to move his car. The car door was conveniently open. I sat inside, adjusted the seat and mirror, then noticed some keys were already in the ignition. I then saw a man about 6ft 5 running towards me in the rear mirror shouting something. He grabbed me by the collar as i tried to explain to him and point out that i was moving a car for a friend and pointed to the shop. But everyone in the shop had disappeared! Well i am still alive to tell the story.
